Every state has a seller page and a buyer page, and they are not the same page with the nouns swapped. The seller page covers confidentiality, what buyers will verify, and the state rules that touch a transfer. The buyer page covers where demand sits, what financing looks like, and the diligence items that are specific to that state.
Establishment counts come from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2023 County Business Patterns file for NAICS 812310, Coin-Operated Laundries and Drycleaners. That category includes dry cleaners and excludes businesses with no paid employees, so it is a consistent comparison between states rather than a count of laundromats. Metro population, renter share, and household income come from the American Community Survey via Census Reporter. Electricity benchmarks are the all-sector average retail price from the EIA's 2024 State Electricity Profiles. No state-specific valuation multiple is published anywhere on this site, because no credible source produces one.
The Next Step
This page is general information about laundromat transactions, not legal, tax, or investment advice, and not a guarantee of sale price, timing, or financing approval. Verify current rules with your own CPA, attorney, lender, and the relevant state or municipal agency before acting.
